Infidels attack Other Infidels
An ancient pagan, demon-worshipping religion against a modern anti-Christian religion of demons. Neither worships the one true God, though both are condemned by their knowledge that God exists and punishes sin.
While the Muslims are sending their soldiers, let us pray that God will send His harvesters to this dark region.
Praise be to the God who created the Sun, and sent His Only-Begotten Son to save,

Comment Guidelines:
1. Thanks for posting a comment. Without you, this blog would not be interactive.
2. Please be polite. That doesn't mean you have to use kid gloves, but please try not to flame others, even if they are heretics, infidels, or worse.
3. If you insult me, I'm more likely to delete your comment than if you butter me up. After all, I'm human. I prefer praise to insults. If you prefer insults, there's something wrong with you.
4. Please be concise. The comment box is not your blog. Your blog is your blog. If you have a really long comment, post it on your blog and post a short summary of it here.
5. Please don't just spam. It's one thing to be concise, it's another thing to simply use the comment box to advertise.
6. Please note, by commenting here, you are relinquishing your (C) in your comments to me.
7. Remember that you will give an account on judgment day for your words, including those typed in comment boxes. Try to write so you will not be ashamed if it is read back before the entire world.
8. Stay on topic. If your comment has nothing to do with the post, email it to me (my email can be obtained through my blogger profile), or simply don't post it.
9. Don't post as "Anonymous." If you are going to post anonymously, at least use some kind of recognizable "handle," so we can tell you apart from all the other anonymous folks. (This is moot at the moment, since recent abuse has forced me to turn off "anonymous" commenting.)
10. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and abstain from doing to others what you would not wish upon yourself.
Our Pastor this week said that if current birthrates hold in the Muslim and non-Muslim countries and Islam keeps their current growth rates, the entire world will be Muslim in 100 years. If you have the time or interest, I would like to hear your comments on the spread of Islam around the world.
ReplyDeleteThanks,

Thanks for your comments, Zog.
ReplyDeleteYes, Muslims are having large families, and so are are Mormons. On the other hand, though, only a generation ago, Catholics were having large families, and one might have made a similar prediction about their organic growth.
It would be great for Christians to have large families: children are a blessing from the Lord.
What is truly interesting is that religious conservatives seem to tend to have larger families than liberals - which would seem to portend the long term doom of liberalism.

Ah, but you forget that God does not only call people from Christian homes. He also has outsiders called to faith. This is one of pet peeves of all "covenant" talk. He can make children out of stones. I think I was granite at one time.

Dear Godith,
ReplyDeleteSurely you realize that even covenant children are (ordinarily)born with stony hearts.
Don't forget:
Romans 3:1-4
1What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. 3For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Of course all have stony hearts at birth (except maybe John the B). However, even liberals can generate stony-hearted kids whom God changes. God uses even liberals for His own glory!

The context of children from stones was that the Pharisees were claiming lineage, something that "covenant succession" people sometimes do, but erroneously in my opinion.
