Justification by Works

1. The Christ (for there is only one for the whole world) was justified in God's sight by works, because He perfectly obeyed the law.

It seems odd that Jonathan Prejean would think otherwise. See this post (link) and the comments following including those from "Crimson Catholic" (i.e. Mr. Prejean).

2. No one else can be justified in God's sight by works, for all have sinned (yes, that includes the Christokos) and come short of the glory of God, for there is only one God-man, Christ Jesus.

3. Because of (2), the only way to be justified is by the substition of the clean white garment of (1) for one's filthy rags. That is to say, the only way to be justified in God's sight is by faith in Christ.

4. True and saving faith evidences itself, however, in works. Thus, we may be justified in our own and our brethren's sight by works, though in God's sight only by Christ's righteousness.

  1. I heard from one who said it, of course by Faith and my hearing it was with supposedly the same. Here is my loose paraphrase of it:

    ""THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN TWO COMPLETELY TOTALLY UTTERLY SINLESS "CREATED SPIRITS, SOULS, BODIES IN THE FLESH", AND THEY ARE NO MORE, ADAM AND EVE. All else were created from them by the Will of Our ETERNAL FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST; even the Second Adam, Jesus Christ, born of a woman!""

    Now to my point which is this:

    CREATED SPIRIT
    ETERNAL SPIRIT

    The only sense I can make of it is by revelation of the "Eternal" Spirits through Whom I search the deep things of God.

    The Eternal Son, One of Three "Eternal Spirits" with the other Two created a flesh container by the Word of God and dwelt among us.

    Did He solely live a Life that the Holy Ghost vindicated before God the Father and Himself?

    Yes.

    Did He solely overcome every temptation?

    Yes.

    Did He, by virtue of becoming the "sin" of the "world" and take it away, separate from the other Two Eternals when He became sin?

    Yes.

    There was separation!

    This is deeply a mystery!!

    He became sin.

    They did not. They were not a part of this equitable deed but certainly were in agreement with and party to Him becoming sin as these Three Eternal Spirits in Covenant with One another join to us, One and the other because of Him!

    For me, I find "my" answer in verse two of Genesis one.

    After verse one of Genesis one, verse two and all pieces of this mystery, for me, falls into place.

    How?

    I do not know.

    Do I believe I know?

    Yes, but this too is speculation.

    What I am left with is simple.

    Now I proclaim the simplicity of the Gospel, but by which no one will be saved.

    Jesus Christ died on a cross for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried. He was raised again the third day according to the Scriptures and then revealed to, seen by one then the twelve, then the five hundred and then....1 Cor. 15:1.... and revealed to me too!

  4. Dear Michael,

    I would respectfully submit that the Trinity is one Spirit, rather than three.

    I'm hesitant to adopt the phrase "flesh container" because it sounds a bit like certain gnostic theories, which I assume you are not adopting.
