His answer may not be philosophically rigorous, but it is helpful to refocus people on the important points. I must say that it is not an answer that had occurred to me previously, as a response to the question, "If God is so good, why does evil exist?" ... though perhaps it ought to have.

I just have to ask: If I am not so blessed and privileged to share abundantly in Christ's suffereings, then what?

Psa 73:7 Their eyes swell out through fatness; their hearts overflow with follies.
Psa 73:8 They scoff and speak with malice; loftily they threaten oppression.
Psa 73:9 They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongue struts through the earth.
Psa 73:10 Therefore his people turn back to them, and find no fault in them.
Psa 73:11 And they say, "How can God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?"
Psa 73:12 Behold, these are the wicked; always at ease, they increase in riches.
What amazes me most from Psalm 73 is verse nine and particularly these words:::> [[their tongue struts through the earth]].
Today, you can turn on a T.V. and watch a man curse nations and describe them as a dead dog all the while not knowing just how much of a dead dog they are too while their words strut through the earth!
This is war. We are in a fight with a motivated enemy. Their end is sure as is ours. When we die, we leave the battle and are forever present with the Lord. They are in it til' the end of time and then the lake of fire!

Those are words we need to hear often. It makes me sad that Arminians hate the supremacy of God because they love the notion of their free not being interfered by God's will. That is such a cold and non-comforting doctrine. If I thought for one moment that my will would not be trumped by God's will at all times, my mind would fail me and I would be lost in sorrow for I know how I would stray and never come back.
Another good reformed baptist. I have never heard of this man before but his preaching is very powerful, thanks for sharing.
