A Natural Progression

Comment Guidelines:
1. Thanks for posting a comment. Without you, this blog would not be interactive.
2. Please be polite. That doesn't mean you have to use kid gloves, but please try not to flame others, even if they are heretics, infidels, or worse.
3. If you insult me, I'm more likely to delete your comment than if you butter me up. After all, I'm human. I prefer praise to insults. If you prefer insults, there's something wrong with you.
4. Please be concise. The comment box is not your blog. Your blog is your blog. If you have a really long comment, post it on your blog and post a short summary of it here.
5. Please don't just spam. It's one thing to be concise, it's another thing to simply use the comment box to advertise.
6. Please note, by commenting here, you are relinquishing your (C) in your comments to me.
7. Remember that you will give an account on judgment day for your words, including those typed in comment boxes. Try to write so you will not be ashamed if it is read back before the entire world.
8. Stay on topic. If your comment has nothing to do with the post, email it to me (my email can be obtained through my blogger profile), or simply don't post it.
9. Don't post as "Anonymous." If you are going to post anonymously, at least use some kind of recognizable "handle," so we can tell you apart from all the other anonymous folks. (This is moot at the moment, since recent abuse has forced me to turn off "anonymous" commenting.)
10. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and abstain from doing to others what you would not wish upon yourself.
Let's see, you ask:
ReplyDelete"....therefore what is the problem with accomodating Muslim worship?"
My savage answer is, A LOT!
My Theological answer is, refer to the First of God's Ten Commandments given to Moses.
My "RIP" answer is, if you want to rest in Peace, "know" Peace because, in a time of war, there is no peace, only sorrow and misery until after the war is won by Him!
Now, of course, to "know" Peace, one would have had to have been touched by Him to Know Him which brings me to the concern I have had, have and now will always have with that broad principle being applied by the schools of the RCC encouraging the religious practices of Muslims, who clearly do not have Him as the "rock" to which we are taught to come to in a time of War and Peace!
Psa 71:1 In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame!
Psa 71:2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me!
Psa 71:3 Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
Psa 71:4 Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.
One ex-cruel man observed that you can know the depth of cruelity when you find that a man hunts a pigeon with a Falcon for sport and enjoys watching what the Falcon does to the helpless pigeon once he has been caught!
Job 28:5 As for the earth, out of it comes bread, but underneath it is turned up as by fire.
Job 28:6 Its stones are the place of sapphires, and it has dust of gold.
Job 28:7 "That path no bird of prey knows, and the falcon's eye has not seen it.
And this most instructive Word too:
Psa 120:5 Woe to me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
Psa 120:6 Too long have I had my dwelling among those who hate peace.
Psa 120:7 I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war!
And that old sense full proverb:
"if you sleep with dogs, you certainly will wake up with fleas"!
There is only One True God who sent His Son to be My Savior!
The Gift is Eternal Life:::>
Joh 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Joh 17:4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.
Joh 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
Joh 17:6 "I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
I am certain of this that neither the RCC nor the Islamic faiths "keep" Their Word!
They are teaching other words for their students to keep!
Why the marks around Catholic in Catholic schools? Do you feel that in doing such a thing they are at odds with Catholicism?
ReplyDeleteI know in public schools here in Canada, those who are Jehovah's Witness's remove themselves when the national anthem is being sung. This goes against there religious views. Why unnecessarily antagonize?
They (with Rome) do not hold to the true Catholic faith, therefore they are "Catholic" in name only. Hence the quotation marks.
ReplyDeleteThe comparison to public schools doesn't make much sense. Parochial schools have not only an educuational, but also a religious mission.
If a school associated with a Reformed church were to suggest such a thing, I'd be outraged. In that case, the promotion of the anti-Christian religion of Islam would be a clear compromise of the Gospel. And the Gospel is a necessary offense.

thank you for your clarification.
ReplyDeletei now understand what your intention was. as to whether i agree with it or not, i don't care enough to comment further (i don't want to start too many conversatiosn, since you are still working out responses to our other conversations, i don't want to overburden you) :) . i was more motivated to respond because i was curious what you meant.
