1. Thanks for posting a comment. Without you, this blog would not be interactive.
2. Please be polite. That doesn't mean you have to use kid gloves, but please try not to flame others, even if they are heretics, infidels, or worse.
3. If you insult me, I'm more likely to delete your comment than if you butter me up. After all, I'm human. I prefer praise to insults. If you prefer insults, there's something wrong with you.
4. Please be concise. The comment box is not your blog. Your blog is your blog. If you have a really long comment, post it on your blog and post a short summary of it here.
5. Please don't just spam. It's one thing to be concise, it's another thing to simply use the comment box to advertise.
6. Please note, by commenting here, you are relinquishing your (C) in your comments to me.
7. Remember that you will give an account on judgment day for your words, including those typed in comment boxes. Try to write so you will not be ashamed if it is read back before the entire world.
8. Stay on topic. If your comment has nothing to do with the post, email it to me (my email can be obtained through my blogger profile), or simply don't post it.
9. Don't post as "Anonymous." If you are going to post anonymously, at least use some kind of recognizable "handle," so we can tell you apart from all the other anonymous folks. (This is moot at the moment, since recent abuse has forced me to turn off "anonymous" commenting.)
10. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and abstain from doing to others what you would not wish upon yourself.
Hi T-fan. You may want to include the tag on this to include Pope John XXIII ("Good Pope John") who originally approved the 1962 document "Crimen Sollicitationis (The Offense of Sollicitation), by Cardinal Ottaviani, approved by Pope John XXIII (3/16/62)"

(You can probably read it in the original Latin!)

I've read that one of Ratzinger's former duties as Prefect for the Faith was to review all the cases of priestly abuse that came to the attention of the Vatican. If so, then if anyone knew where all the bodies were buried, he did.
ReplyDeleteThe question is Steve,
ReplyDelete"Why would he tell you where the bodies are buried?"
Your answer probably will be, hmmmm, why? Well, one reason, I am not asking!
Another answer might be, after further investigation, that is, "what cover up? We found it was uncovered up"!
And finally, because he wasn't the only one to know of the bodies being uncovered after being covered up, there would also be those who brought forth the covered up information about the cover ups, which implies, they weren't covered up that well, besides.
Really, the sad question to answer then is the thing here is that any cover ups he was aware of weren't very good cover ups, seeing he became aware of them cover ups and once he became aware of them cover ups they were no longer cover ups; well, once they cover the story well enough up so that its not a cover up, is it then considered a cover down, the cover ups?
" John Paul II practiced the pagan practice of self-flagellation"

To Anonymus...
ReplyDeleteHere is the context of the verse of Isaiah
Isaiah 32:9-18 (you can read til the end of the chapter; v.20)
Rise up, you women who are at ease, hear my voice;
you complacent daughters, give ear to my speech. In little more than a year you will shudder, you complacent women; for the grape harvest fails, the fruit harvest will not come. Tremble, you women who are at ease, shudder, you complacent ones; strip, and make yourselves bare, and tie sackcloth around your waist.
Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine, for the soil of my people growing up in thorns and briers, yes, for all the joyous houses in the exultant city. For the palace is forsaken,
the populous city deserted; the hill and the watchtower will become dens forever,a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks; until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.
Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field. And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

ReplyDeleteThe cited article may have had the name wrong, "Thomas" rather than "Joseph."
I was involved with "outing" Navy Chaplains and coverups. I was aslo involved with media efforts.
Doyle, a Papist, in the article, understood all this well. He ended up as a military chaplain and took up the cause to clean the mess up.
Joe Ratzinger, indeed, knew about this. Unquestionably.
Forget the name of a Romanist, Texan class action attorney now. But we had comms. Many phonecons. As a Papist, he was "hot" about it, a commendable wrath. He also sent me a secret document from Vat files on the procedures of secrecy. It was leaked to him through a Romanist sympathizer at the Un. of Louvain. I have it around here somewhere, but it's been years since I read it.
It also has a detailed "liturgy" for use in the absolution of the confessing priest.
The secrecy practiced throughout the nation was "not," and I repeat it loudly, was "not" mere episcopal incompetence or oversight. They were following detailed, strict, and written orders from hell-hole in Rome.
Having travelled the world widely and having been to Rome many times, the last visit to St. Peter's? I could not go in.
Nuff said.
I shall post no more on this matter.

Apparently it was the news reporter, not the production he was reporting on, who made the mistake of saying Thomas rather than Joseph.
ReplyDeleteI might add that whether or not you cannot stomach the full strength of the Word of God because of a lack of maturity, God does not hold back, though, in describing things like those Words from Isaiah.
ReplyDelete"warning"
Do not proceed to read these Words from Jeremiah if you cannot handle just how God speaks descriptively about His judgment to come upon His people living in lies and rebellion by the mouth of His Prophet:::>
Jer 13:18 Say to the king and the queen mother: "Take a lowly seat, for your beautiful crown has come down from your head."
Jer 13:19 The cities of the Negeb are shut up, with none to open them; all Judah is taken into exile, wholly taken into exile.
Jer 13:20 "Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?
Jer 13:21 What will you say when they set as head over you those whom you yourself have taught to be friends to you? Will not pangs take hold of you like those of a woman in labor?
Jer 13:22 And if you say in your heart, 'Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up and you suffer violence.
Jer 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.
Jer 13:24 I will scatter you like chaff driven by the wind from the desert.
Jer 13:25 This is your lot, the portion I have measured out to you, declares the LORD, because you have forgotten me and trusted in lies.
Jer 13:26 I myself will lift up your skirts over your face, and your shame will be seen.
Jer 13:27 I have seen your abominations, your adulteries and neighings, your lewd whorings, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! How long will it be before you are made clean?"
If that isn't strong enough for you, then by all means do turn to Ezekiel 16 and read those Words given to the Prophet to speak to Jerusalem!
But if, perchance, you were not able to stomach those Words from Ezekiel, please do not turn then to Psalm 50 and read what God does to His disobedient people there?
But, by all means, read these Words anyhow, here:::>
Pro 15:9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but he loves him who pursues righteousness.
Pro 15:10 There is severe discipline for him who forsakes the way; whoever hates reproof will die.
Pro 15:11 Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the LORD; how much more the hearts of the children of man!
Wow, as you now imagine, the little Baby Jesus laid in a manger is sure becoming quite an aggresive Lord the more you grow up to know Him!
