Prayer for Family Radio Folks
Currently, the folks who have believed his teachings have left the churches. Please pray that God would restore these people to the churches, help them to realize that the grammatical-historical hermeneutic is superior to any eschatologically driven hermeneutic, and bring them into greater obedience with the command not to forsake the assembly of the brethren.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Comment Guidelines:
1. Thanks for posting a comment. Without you, this blog would not be interactive.
2. Please be polite. That doesn't mean you have to use kid gloves, but please try not to flame others, even if they are heretics, infidels, or worse.
3. If you insult me, I'm more likely to delete your comment than if you butter me up. After all, I'm human. I prefer praise to insults. If you prefer insults, there's something wrong with you.
4. Please be concise. The comment box is not your blog. Your blog is your blog. If you have a really long comment, post it on your blog and post a short summary of it here.
5. Please don't just spam. It's one thing to be concise, it's another thing to simply use the comment box to advertise.
6. Please note, by commenting here, you are relinquishing your (C) in your comments to me.
7. Remember that you will give an account on judgment day for your words, including those typed in comment boxes. Try to write so you will not be ashamed if it is read back before the entire world.
8. Stay on topic. If your comment has nothing to do with the post, email it to me (my email can be obtained through my blogger profile), or simply don't post it.
9. Don't post as "Anonymous." If you are going to post anonymously, at least use some kind of recognizable "handle," so we can tell you apart from all the other anonymous folks. (This is moot at the moment, since recent abuse has forced me to turn off "anonymous" commenting.)
10. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and abstain from doing to others what you would not wish upon yourself.
When the Lord doesn't in fact return, Camping will have a good answer for it, you can count on it. He did back in 1994.
ReplyDeleteI do pray for our brothers and siters to come back to church, and love one another. For by our love will the wordl know we are disciples of Jesus.
The Kingdom, for those who have been given ears of hearing what the Spirit to the Church says, has come already.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, consider a couple of points of view on this score.
One comes from Isaiah and the other, John, here:
Isa 11:1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
Isa 11:3 And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,
Isa 11:4 but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
Isa 11:5 Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.
...
Isa 12:1 You will say in that day: "I will give thanks to you, O LORD, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.
Isa 12:2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."
Isa 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Isa 12:4 And you will say in that day: "Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.
Isa 12:5 "Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.
Isa 12:6 Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel."
...
Joh 5:15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.
Joh 5:16 And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.
Joh 5:17 But Jesus answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I am working."
...
Joh 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
Joh 5:25 "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.
Joh 5:26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.
Joh 5:27 And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.
You see, for those who have ears to hear understand and know Christ has come and as Our Heavenly Father is working even still, so He, Jesus Christ, is working also.
And what is He doing then?
Continuing:::>
Well, consider what Isaiah foretold cited above from Isaiah 11, verse 4: but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
ReplyDeleteI see the Lord doing just that these days!
History shows the Lord has being doing as much and more so, so far up to these days, too!
My guess is, He will be doing the same after these days and after the days when we are gone from this world; and until the end of the world as we know it.
It is for the Children of God to come out of darkness and into this Light of the Glorious Gospel of the Kingdom, which is here, which has always been here and now is here, now!
What joy floods the soul of the one who hears and rejoices with the Lord in daily fellowship with Him and one another, even as Jesus said, as cited above and here:
Joh 5:25 "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.
Whether or not the Lord returns on May 22 of this year is not the material question, but, whether or not whenever He returns your heart rejoices?
Heb 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,
Heb 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
I guess we could follow the Risen Lord in this assertion too?
Joh 5:28 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice
Joh 5:29 and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.
When the Lord doesn't in fact return, Camping will have a good answer for it, you can count on it. He did back in 1994.
ReplyDeleteI humbly disagree that he had a good answer for it. I think the only ones who thought it was a good answer were those who long to have their ears tickled that they might feel vindicated for acting like fools.
PA: I agree. I think Don Sands meant "good answer" from the standpoint of Camping's regular listeners. It is remarkable to me that he has any regular listeners after the 1994 debacle.
ReplyDeleteI suppose the word "good" should have been left out.
ReplyDeleteYou are right Turretin, that's what I meant.
The whole world has believed in a god of hate and revenge Rev 12:9. Those who will not hear the true word John 1:1 now delivered Rev 12:5, 13 that turns the hearts of the fathers to the children Mal 4:5-6 at the heel of time Gen 3:15 will not be allowed inside the walls Rev 21 of the coming kingdom of God Acts 3:23 so says God.
ReplyDeleteDo you have ears to hear the true God now delivered to the world at http://minigoodtale.blogspot.com
Leave the date-setting aside, but the leave the church thing is on-the-mark. Nothing but man-fearing and respecting of persons, not to mention the asinine elitism of clerics vs. 'lay people'-ism.
ReplyDeleteThe two issues date-setting and church-leaving are definitely separable issues. However, both are errors, and the church-leaving is similarly soul-destroying.
