Minority of IUers Make the Rest Look Bad

It's interesting watching hopelessly clueless college student "activists" trying to bully Doug Wilson at IU.

He does a great job of responding to them. *** Warning, Atheist Speech in the Video ***

  1. This fatuous display of young crowd charged with emotional hate protesting against "hate" reminds me Jugendbund der NSDAP...

  2. Typical of those who cry tolerance the loudest...they are the most intolerant of all.

  3. The irony of this display from those students and those choosing to stand and recite with them exercising their right to free speech impeded Wilson's equal right to the same! Can I say of myself when in college I was clueless of many things? YES, yes I can. Do I still know only in part? Yes, I know only what I know and only in part.

One thing though that seems to me to enhance Jesus by this video capturing their intolerance is what He said here that imposes upon me a necessity to remain ever vigilant and sober minded in any eventuality I will face in this fallen world devils filled:

Luk 23:27 And there followed him a great multitude of the people and of women who were mourning and lamenting for him.
Luk 23:28 But turning to them Jesus said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
Luk 23:29 For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!'
Luk 23:30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us,' and to the hills, 'Cover us.'
Luk 23:31 For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
Luk 23:32 Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.

  4. Some people at Turretanfan's blog might not know that Wilson wrote an easily criticized book on slavery where he seemed to be taking the side of slave holding. I haven't read the book, and I'm sure Wilson most likely was making some subtle point his critics either can't see or don't wish to see, but it's enough to get these kinds of reactions you see in the video.

Did you hear the line: "We believe in free speech, but not hate speech."? The First Amendment protects speech we don't like or it's worthless. These young fascists hear this over and over and they are either dumb or wicked or both. I have no patience for the excuse they are young. I was dumb at 16. By the time I was old enough to be in college I was at least smart enough to know I didn't know enough to be dictating to people how they should be thinking and acting. And now I'm so smart I'll let the penal code do that, based on the Constitution.

Wilson's line was good: "Not the first time I've run into the tolerance buzz saw."

  5. Excellent example of how "higher education" doesn't allow people to think outside of their restricted "progressive" viewpoint. I am from Indiana and this is just sad.
