I don't support the group that put on this presentation, and their purpose is not to show intelligent design of biological systems. Nevertheless, the following video provides some interesting insights. The video is mostly about the communication that bacteria use to communicate both within and among species of bacteria. The video also explains, however, a very special system in a certain variety of squid that relies on bacteria to help the squid operate in a sort of stealth mode. It is really quite fascinating:
It seems self-evident to me that the squid and the bacteria are designed, not simply the result of chance. I realize that people will disagree, but I don't think it's because the evidence is not clear enough.

ReplyDeleteI was reading something recently - I believe it was in a circular published by Ken Ham's Answers in Genesis group - that discussed the amazingly autonomous life of cells.
ReplyDeleteI'm summarizing from pure memory here, so don't hold my feet to the fire on specifics, but in a nutshell the article explained how scientists have begun to realize that cells in systems act more or less independently of the organism, and to a large extent even of the organ systems in which they exist, "living out their lives", as it were, individually.
They repair themselves, regulate themselves, and for all intents and purposes are "libertarian free-will" creatures, yet they are simultaneously unwitting "slaves" to the systems they serve, dutifully fulfilling the roles for which they were created, yet doing exactly what they "want" to do.
There's a message in there somewhere.

Wow, hmmmmm, now let's have some fun?
Let's count an abrupt 70 years of a life's span.
Do the math. It is possible, though I have to admit my ignorance I have never counted a trillion anything, count a trillion of something.
Consider:
70 years x 365 days with the exception of the leap year formula x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds ./. by an average of 60,000 thoughts a minute, according to some science! I read or someone told me that, on average, we are able to think about 60 thousand thoughts a minute.
Just how does one count a trillion bacteria shielding a soul according to her postulation?
Besides the postulation, it seems God still holds all the cards in the palm of His Hand! :)
Now onto a more mundane thought.
I hope Bonnie is a compassionate wife married to a dimwit man or she is married to a compassionate husband, a brilliant scholar, twice as smart as she, so that one of the other thing happens when they retire to bed at night? Either she is able to lay her head on him and rest or he is able to lay his head on her and rest; cause I don't think they could rest sleeping like a baby at night otherwise? Or not?? What do you think??? :)
