Grammar Lesson for ChristianTruthHammer

This is a response to ChristianTruthHammer and his "simple grammar lesson for James White and his followers." In this response I respectfully suggest four grammatical-exegetical points that our critic should have thought of before he posted his video.

1) "Active" is a voice, not a tense;

2) The verb to know is not a "being" verb, although it is sometimes a "stative" verb;

3) Some verbs - like "know" - can be either dynamic or stative depending on the context; and

4) In this context, the verb "foreknow" is dynamic, just like the verbs "predestine," "call," "justify," and "glorify," each of which has the same subject and object as "foreknow."

I wonder what made him even think that he could hold up a candle to Dr. White's exegesis. It should have been obvious that he doesn't really know what he's talking about when he says that he "doesn't know Greek grammar but is just assuming that it works the same way as English".

He's got sources! (In the note section of the video)

Given, they're English grammar, and wait, he's updated it yet again ... this time with ... wait for it ...

MODERN GREEK.

Because Modern Greek is exactly like Koine Greek. In the same way that English grammar is exactly like Koine Greek grammar.

Well, question?

Has the hammer fallen on Truth, yet?

Jer 23:28 Let the prophet who has a dream tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. What has straw in common with wheat? declares the LORD.
Jer 23:29 Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Jer 23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, declares the LORD, who steal my words from one another.

TF, not to hype you up one bit in citing these words, however, they do seem to fit your work of Grace in here:::>

Jer 51:17 Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them.
Jer 51:18 They are worthless, a work of delusion; at the time of their punishment they shall perish.
Jer 51:19 Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the LORD of hosts is his name.
Jer 51:20 "You are my hammer and weapon of war: with you I break nations in pieces; with you I destroy kingdoms;
Jer 51:21 with you I break in pieces the horse and his rider; with you I break in pieces the chariot and the charioteer;
Jer 51:22 with you I break in pieces man and woman; with you I break in pieces the old man and the youth; with you I break in pieces the young man and the young woman;
Jer 51:23 with you I break in pieces the shepherd and his flock; with you I break in pieces the farmer and his team; with you I break in pieces governors and commanders.

So with that I only encourage you to continue doing it as is described here too:::>

Psa 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands,
Psa 149:7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples,
Psa 149:8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron,
Psa 149:9 to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the LORD!

Check out this mess (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1j3HxrjJRo). Hilarious! Does this guy even know how to do exegesis?
