This Goes Beyond Lampoon ...

I'm not sure what else to say about this story about a pair of Columbian priests (Roman communion) who made the headlines when they were discovered murdered. Martyrs, do you think? It turns out it was a murder for hire. They were the ones who hired the hitmen. There's more, but it's not for tender eyes.

The terror of it all, that, that they had to experience, kind of sobers me up even more, especially when I ponder these verses and the depth of their meaning and the great ability of God to deliver His own:

Rom 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

...

1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

I mean, it is just not easy for me to comprehend a story like this one.

I am sure the realities that brought this about was multi-leveled for these two men, their parishioners and the four men who carried out their will influenced by demons; not to mention what must be going on now for the deceased after departing and meeting God face to face; and God, Who is still doing what He does best, as is indicated here:

1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,
1Pe 5:7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
1Pe 5:9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
1Pe 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
1Pe 5:11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

It is difficult to embrace any notion that there might be the slightest bit of Truth being taught by the RCC to her members when you realize what is being taught at verse 10 and these words: "...And after you have suffered a little while,..." not knowing there is such a thing as the forgiveness of sins and perseverance of the Saints being taught in and among the True and Living Church by the True and Living God!

I really don't see the purpose of posting these sorts of stories about Catholics behaving badly.

What is remarkable is that to you, those sodomite suicides are "Catholics," whereas Christ's servants who proclaim the gospel are not. You think them to have been indelibly priests, when nothing could be farther from the truth. What will it take to shock your conscience to the realization that your church's teaching does not correspond to reality? These men were not vicars of Christ - and neither were the 15th and 16th century popes.

Men like Benedict XVI and John Paul II have a larger amount of outward conformity to God's law, but their claims are based on a web of lies. What can I show you to help you see that?

Well, it's pretty difficult to shock me. "Don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me" and "Whatcha gonna do with all that junk?" shocked me, but that was years ago. Now something as sick as "Love the way you lie" is only mildly surprising.

I'm sorry you seem to think that your service to anti-Christ is something to be glibly compared to pop music.
