Grudem On-Line

I'll confess that I greatly prefer Hodge, Shedd, Calvin, Turretin, Dabney, Ames, Ridgley, and Reymond to Grudem, and even prefer Berkhof to Grudem, nevertheless many of my Reformed Baptist brethren seem to enjoy Grudem's Systematic Theology. That volume is now freely available on-line.

I've decided to remove the link, after reading the following article (link), which I cannot verify, and which contains certain misrepresentations upon which I won't elaborate.

Wow. I didn't know about that link. Thanks!

What is your opinion of his view on spiritual gifts? What is your view? What did Turretin think?

God bless as always,

Billy

Do you mean the extraodinary gifts (tongues, prophecy, sudden healing, raising people form the dead, violating the law of conservation of matter, walking on water, or the like) or the ordinary gifts (faith, love, patience, gentleness, etc.)?

Adrian Warnock did some leg work with the publishers and this seems to be an illicit/unauthorized posting. You can check out the info at Adrianwarnock.com

Extraordinary (controversial) gifts.

What's wrong with Berkhof? Why did you say "even Berkhof"? I have his...is it inferior to the others of which you speak?

It's not so much something being wrong with Berkhof, as his not seeming to be (to me) as in depth or careful as some of the others, as well as being fairly recent.

Billy,

I cannot recall off-hand. I suspect that he was (like me) a cessasionist.

We would tend to date the "Charismatic" movement to within the last 150 years or so.

Mr. Graves,

I don't have any independent information as to whether it is unauthorized.

Here's a link suggesting that the Bible Centre may have had some copyright issues in the past.
