Latria/Dulia Debate - Technical Problems

Apparently, Mr. Albrecht had some serious Internet connection difficulties that precluded the scheduled debate from occurring, although I waited 3 hours from the time he had picked out. If he is still interested in debating, we could try again in two weeks, once he has had time to address the technical issues involved.

He chickened out. I could tell he was worried about the debate by what he said. I told him he was debating the wrong subject with you and that he ought to debate Determinism rather than latria/dulia with you and he got all defensive talking about how he has a degree in theology and is almost done getting a masters in Greek and blah blah blah blah blah

Very disappointing, but not shocking. I actually thought something like this might happen. If Mr. Albrecht needs more temporary bandwidth I will be glad to donate. Why two weeks?

I'm also disappointed, zog. I have suggested two weeks because that is the soonest that I could again set aside a block of time for the debate.

Anonymous,

I have no idea where you get your info. As far as I know, he did not "chicken out." At one point during the three hours, he actually got about 10 seconds or so into his opening statement before his very tenuous connection to the Internet failed.

I don't see why he would "chicken out," and I don't have a good reason to think he did.

Why do the chickens get blamed for everything cowardous?

Maybe it's because you have to pluck feathers and gut the thing before cooking it?

Anyway, there is enough going on anyway so I guess I will be going on!

I think its because saying "he scaredy-cat-ted out" is more grammatically complicated.

In a message sent to me in youtube by GNRHEAD in response to an argument of mine about what the 'fathers' taught in the earliest centuries, he replied the following to me. I can understand you not posting a private message received by some anonymous guy, TF, but I thought you ought to know this info. Maybe you can draw this vitriolic hatred out of him in the debate for all to see.

GNRHEAD writes:

You seem to not get it either. I don't take your rants seriously. I have studied the Fathers intensively, I studied them before I converted to Catholicism and I STILL READ AND STUDY THEM EACH DAY. I can read them in their original languages and have studied them. Which makes your hate rants all the more laughable. I wouldn't doubt it if you were some hillbilly that couldn't read anything but English and thought you were the one that knew the truth. Hilarious. I would challenge you to a live audio moderated debate, but people of your kind don't get attention and people of my persuasion(people that take this SERIOUSLY) simply get looked down upon if they give you any bit of attention.

Keep your hate rants, I will pray for you in the meantime...

and Augustine..the first Father?hahahaha

Keep preaching

He's clearly the hillbilly projecting his own self-esteem problems about his uni-lingualism onto others.

TF, if I might?

B2K8, there may be some confusion here? If I am responsible for it, I ask you to accept my apologies? If you have confused me by your remarks and I got it all wrong, please make clear your intent and who it was directed too since the sense it seems to me is you thought I was making a remark toward the unfortunate circumstance both TF and Mr. Albrecht experienced by no fault of their own stopping the debate on Latria/Dulia and slanting my pun intent towards Mr. Albrecht.

I have a lot of respect for Mr. Albrecht. I have even more respect for TF. If I was still involved with my Tribe's casino and were betting, I would be betting 1000 to one on TF showing how much of a mistake it is for Mr. Albrecht to be exposed to his own folly.

Your pun though, might I ask, was it directed towards Mr. Albrecht?

It does seem that little pithy whatever:::> ""he scaredy-cat-ted out"" had some pointed jabs at Mr. Albrecht's beliefs and particularly "CAT"holicism?

My pun intent was intended for "anonymous" who wrote "....He chickened out...." and I assumed he was directing his exclaim towards Mr. Albrecht. Are you not accepting TF's explanation for why the debate was technically ended until two weeks from now?

My pun intent was not directed towards Mr. Albrecht but in a "savage" sort of way I was being funny at a chicken's expense.

I have been around when a few chickens started "crying" as their fellow feathered members in the chicken coop were getting their throats slit, crying knowing their turn was coming soon! Chickens do do that if you didn't know that? It is a chicken sense they have that the jig is up for them on earth because they obviously sensed the death of other chickens in the coop at the hands of those that fed them well for such a time as that!

Anonymous,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I hope that you don't feel you've received the same treatment here as there.

natamllc, I'm just saying that "chickened out" works better as a verb than the other cowardice phrase "scaredy cat."

I can't believe he chickened out. He appears very confident in any Youtube videos of his. I guess I am blinded by appearance :)
