Cajetan and the Canon

Response to Mr. William Albrecht regarding Cajetan and the Canon. Cajetan was a Roman Catholic cardinal who opposed Luther as an official representative of Rome, but who also held to the same canon as "Protestants" do today. This clip discusses that issue as well as a few related issues.

Thank you for the post. I think it's very interesting that Cajetan rejected the Canonocity of the Deuterocanonicals.

He considered them "canonical" in the sense of "to be read in the churches" but not in the sense of "inspired word of God."

Right. Isn't that view also similar to that of the Anglican Church (at least historically)?
