Praise be to the Lord for his providential preservation of a shopkeeper, by means of his wife, via the mechanism of her giving him a ring, and him wearing it as an outward sign of his marital relationship to her.
In come the robbers;
"Bang!" goes the gun;
The bullet glances off the ring;
Reducing the harm done.

The man was wounded by the attack and the thieves did take money, but the man will live, and his wife is able to glorify God for this physical salvation of her husband.
