A Quick Comparison - A Sidebar to the Atonement Debate

Today, I stubled across this article (link).
If you have in interest in the ongoing atonement debate, you should compare that article with the post I presented (here).

He makes a couple of additional points that I do not (specifically regarding soter being anarthous in the verse in question, and the historical Greek usage of the term soter), but my reading is that he is mostly in agreement with what I wrote (though, of course, since he wrote first, we should say it the other way 'round).

P.S. Seth: you do not have to respond to Dr. Baugh's paper, of course, as I'm not including this comparison as part of the debate. It's just interesting to note the similarities between the my post and the paper.

Well TF, just because I am weak, I want to set the record straight that my comments at the debate blog where you link the readers here, were written first before I came back here and clicked on the plain sense article by Baugh!!!

It's shaping up to being a wit of pride and reason in my judgment.

Whose going to win?: you or Seth and company!

There is a bit of clarity in the air though seeing the confusion of the flesh is waning in light of some sound debate and clarity of Spirit coming through the spirits of men in the debate now!

I was reading on Arminian doctrine and the decision at the council of dordt against Arminius. Those Romstrants following, [spelling?], zealots true, but so are you!

Dear Michael,

You too noticed the "and company" eh?

I posted your comment since you seemed to want to set the record straight.

I'm not too concerned whether I win or lose. I want the truth to win. I'm confident that the position I'm advocating is the truth, but if it turns out that Scripture says something else, I'll delightedly reform my position to match Scripture.

Yes and Amen and oh, my Faith is: TRUTH WINS and TRUTH IS MY ANCHOR, GONE ON BEFORE AND HOLDING ME ON COURSE TO BE WITH HIM FOREVER!

My only prayer is that Seth would be so nimble as thee!
